Revolutionary Romanian Robots!

4 December 2022

For me, one of the great joys of being a writer is seeing my work translated into other languages, so I’m delighted to announce that Romanian magazine Helion has reprinted my story On This Day in issue 135, and also made it available online here. This is my second story to be translated into Romanian. My particular thanks go to translator Adrian Bancu. Also, I love the photographic illustration, which perfectly captures the story.

On This Day originally appeared in Nature Futures (read it here).

Venus Probes USA

18 September 2022

In a first for me, I’ve had a poem published! I write very few. “Venera 9” is the first to see the light of day, in poet and editor extraordinaire Sourav Sarkar’s “U.S.A.” anthology. (I’ll let the reader work out in what way that is ironic.) My poem was originally launched towards another of Sourav’s anthologies, but he decided to use it in this one instead, which needless to say is absolutely fine by me.Purchase link.
